Account Executive


The Account Executive will be responsible for cultivating new business opportunities and supporting/growing existing accounts. They will be in charge of generating revenue by identifying and qualifying potential trade show accounts; initiating, developing, and closing sales; building account relationships; and improving service offerings.

Duties:

  • Identify potential accounts by researching and collecting market and competitive intelligence; exploring leads; and evaluating opportunities.
  • Identify, qualify and cultivate new sales opportunities and effectively manages leads generated by the company.
  • Develop sales by determining and analyzing customer needs; making initial presentations; and explaining the benefits of hiring promotional models.
  • Close sales by overcoming objections; determining model availability; and preparing contracts.
  • Improve services by analyzing and relaying customer reactions; recommending new services.
  • Update job knowledge by tracking emerging trends in trade show staffing; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintain personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business, required
  • Two to five years prior sales experience, preferably within the trade shows industry.
  • Must be self-motivated and goal driven with a demonstrated track record of achieving sales goals and growth targets.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, and internet research skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are essential
  • Familiarity with SalesForce.com is a plus.
  • No fear of cold calling and excellent follow up skills

Sales & Marketing Assistant


Vantage Advertising is looking for an individual to support its sales and marketing departments with day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of general office procedures, the ability to communicate effectively, and poses good time management skills.

Duties:

  • Support Account Executives in preparing rate quotes, proposals and contracts
  • Post to public forums, blogs, and article databases like EzineArticles.com
  • Make frequent updates to the Blogger, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts
  • General office duties, i.e. answering telephone, sending email updates, filing etc.
  • Provide live chat and online support for website visitors
  • All other tasks as assigned by supervisor and or manager

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably marketing, advertising, communications or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (excel, word, and outlook)
  • Familiarity working with Blogger, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts

Online Marketing Intern


Vantage Advertising is looking for a social media optimization (SMO) and search engine marketing (SEM) intern. The successful candidate will be highly personable, ambitious, aggressive, self-starter looking to gain an entry into the online marketing industry. Intern will work closely with the company founder, with a personal written reference provided at the conclusion of the internship. Internship is part-time on a flexible schedule, ideal for persons with an academic schedule. Approximately 10 - 15 hours per week.

Duties:

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Work with the marketing manager to improve websites natural rankings. This will include on page optimization, copywriting, keyword research and link building
  • Social Media Optimization (SMO): promote business activities via Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Blogger. This will include commenting on other blogs, participating in discussion groups and posting status updates on social networking sites.
  • Website Design/usability: Identifying ways to improve the website experience for visitors
  • Other: Depending on experience, other tasks may be assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong creative writing skills for generating web content and ad creative
  • Well organized and able to multitask
  • Experience in offline and online marketing techniques is preferred; specifically SEO, SEM & SMO

PHP/MySQL Web Developer


Vantage Advertising is currently seeking a PHP/MySQL Web Developer for a contract position to develop new front-end and back-end features, incorporate new Web 2.0 functionality, debug and optimize preexisitng code and assist in coming up with creative solutions for company website. On a daily basis, this individual will be working with PHP, JavaScript, CSS and SQL on the backend. Besides having strong front-end skills, this individual should also have experience creating complex SQL queries.

Our ideal candidate should have at least 1+ experience with PHP/SQL development and over 2+ years of experience working with web development, HTML, JavaScript and CSS.

Duties:

  • Develop landing pages that coincide with marketing campaigns
  • Write highly optimized and engineered PHP code
  • Debug and optimize pre-existing code
  • Develop PHP form processor scripts
  • Design and develop banner ads

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer science, IT, software engineering, web development, programming or other relevant subjects.
  • 1-3+ years of web-based PHP development experience
  • Experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, AJAX
  • SQL knowledge and database design experience required.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices is a plus.
